When you select [Start web2py shell] menu item, it'll open a Shell Window in the bottom pane for selected app, and you can test web2py code in this shell window. Have fun!

So you can expand the web2py folder, and in applications folder, you'll see all apps in your box. Just select one app which you want to test it in Shell window, then pop up the context menu. You'll find [Start web2py Shell] menu item in the bottom.
